Description
Glossy beige glaze, from translucent to opaque, scattered with blue crystallisations. An effect glaze, changeable and unpredictable, whose dominant tone shifts between blue and beige depending on the firing.

Usage
• Ideal for natural deciduous trees such as maples, elms and hornbeams, where its organic variations work well with soft silhouettes.
• Works very well with light or textured bark, with the crystallised areas bringing subtle contrast.
• Suitable for trees with white or pastel blossoms, where the blue crystals create a discreet decor around the flowers.
• Best avoided for very strict or minimalist styles, as the visual personality of the glaze is quite strong.
• Excellent for compositions where a lively, changing and slightly artistic look is desired.

Creation notes
Resulting from research into crystallised glazes, which are generally very unstable and very fluid. Developed over several years to limit runs and stabilise the effects, Blue Flake is part of a family of crystallised glazes that can be fired without special holding stages.
