Dark Moss
Description
Glossy moss-green glaze, crossed by black crystals bordered with brown. A dense, organic effect, where the crystals darken or lighten the surface depending on how they develop during firing.
• Famille : Crystal
• Opacity : semi-transparent — Finish : glossy — Texture : smooth
Usage
• Ideal for rustic or natural deciduous trees such as oak, hornbeam and elm, where its forest-like, textured look pairs well with powerful bark.
• Suitable for trees with dark or striated bark, where the black crystals reinforce the visual depth of the trunk.
• Works well with species that have dark green foliage, which find in this tone a natural continuation.
• Best avoided in very clean, minimal styles, as its rich, dynamic surface makes it an expressive finish.
• Perfect for compositions seeking a very “natural”, organic and lively look.

Creation notes
A member of the “Crystal” glaze family, Dark Moss uses the same crystalline base as the other variants, adjusted with colouring oxides to obtain these deep, dark crystals. As with all crystalline glazes, each firing produces unique effects.
