Rusty Blue
Description
Glossy glaze combining a deep rust-brown base with light blue to icy-blue crystallisations. A strong, lively contrast, where the crystals develop into clouds or columns depending on the firing.
• Famille : Crystal
• Opacity : semi-transparent — Finish : glossy — Texture : smooth
Usage
• Very suitable for rustic deciduous trees such as oak, hornbeam and elm, where the rust and blue contrast works well with marked bark.
• Suitable for trees with reddish or warm brown bark (prunus, crab apple, pyracantha), where the background tones recall their natural colours.
• Works with trees with dark green foliage, where the blue brings visual freshness without becoming too dominant.
• Best avoided for very delicate or very colourful trees, as the strong contrast may feel too present.
• Ideal for compositions seeking an expressive, mineral, almost volcanic look with a strong visual personality.

Creation notes
From the “Crystal” glaze family, Rusty Blue combines a warm, natural base with very dynamic blue crystals. Each firing reveals unique patterns, from clouds and frozen flows to crystalline constellations.
