Lava Blue
Description
Glossy glaze combining a dark brown base with large bright blue crystals. The effects seem to flow, break and solidify, giving a very dynamic, almost “molten” appearance.
• Famille : Crystal
• Opacity : semi-transparent — Finish : glossy — Texture : smooth
Usage
• Very suitable for powerful deciduous trees such as oak, hornbeam, prunus and elm, where its expressive character finds good balance with strong trunks.
• Works well with dark or striated bark, with the vivid blues creating strong visual depth.
• Suitable for trees with dark green foliage, where the bright blue adds energy without breaking the harmony.
• Best avoided for delicate trees, miniatures or trees with pastel blossoms, as the visual energy of the glaze will dominate too much.
• Perfect for compositions that fully embrace a spectacular, mineral, almost volcanic result, where the pot becomes a strong part of the design.

Creation notes
A member of the “Crystal” glaze family, Lava Blue was designed to produce larger, more dynamic crystals that evoke frozen flows. The contrast between blue and brown varies widely with each firing, making every piece unique.
