Glossy glaze combining a warm brown with a very fine blue-grey veil, giving a “frosted” look. The surface shows small dark specks and smooth transitions between cool and warm tones.

• Famille : Frosty

• Opacity : opaque — Finish : glossy — Texture : smooth

Usage

• Ideal for natural deciduous trees such as hornbeam, elm and green maple, where its cool-brown nuances bring sobriety and elegance.
• Works very well with brown-grey or beige bark, where the warm and cool variations create subtle harmony.
• Suitable for trees with white or pastel blossoms, with the gentle tone serving as a calm, bright background.
• Less suitable for very dark or very colourful trees (vivid reds, intense yellows), where its delicate tones may be lost.
• Perfect for compositions seeking a soft, muted, slightly autumnal atmosphere, with a pot that is present without being dominant.

Creation notes

Its name comes from the slightly blue veil that sits over a warm brown, evoking a fine layer of frost on an earthy surface. Each firing reveals a unique balance between cool and warm tones.
