Description
Glossy to satin opaque red glaze, combining ruby red and darker nuances. A deep, vibrant surface with an almost mineral look that evokes the heat and density of glowing rock.

Usage
• Ideal for mame, shohin and kusamono, where an intense, dense red brings character without dominating the whole composition.
• Suitable for trees with white, pink or red blossoms, whose energy and contrast it intensifies.
• Can be used on medium-sized pots in modern or strongly defined compositions: its rich tone remains strong but is less “loud” than a classic bright red.
• Works well with trees with dark green foliage, which find in this deep red a warm counterpoint.
• Best avoided for rustic, dark or very massive trees, where its saturated colour can become too dominant.
• Perfect for dynamic, contemporary displays or compositions where a warm, vibrant accent is desired without going as far as a glaring red.

Creation notes
Solar Red takes its name from its warm, deep nuances, reminiscent of dark embers or heated stone. Each firing reveals slightly different shades between ruby, garnet and darker touches.
